We're thrilled to announce that Dagster+ has arrived in Europe!

We're thrilled to announce that Dagster+ has arrived in Europe! After hearing from so many organizations who need their Dagster control plane within EU boundaries for compliance and data residency requirements, we’re excited make Dagster+ EU available! With this launch, your control plane, metadata, and operational data stay right where you need them, in European data centers. You'll get the same powerful features, in close proximity with your EU workloads.

Not Just Data Residency

Data residency requirements aren't just about compliance checkboxes. They're about building trust with your users and maintaining control over your infrastructure. With Dagster+ EU, it simplifies your environment and reduces the toil necessary to stay compliant. It also speeds things up with faster round trip requests that make for a snappier UI and reduces latency materializing assets.

How Does It Work?

EU region support is available for Hybrid deployments of Dagster+ being placed in the eu-north-1 region. In this architecture:

  • The Dagster+ control plane runs in EU data centers
  • Your agent and compute infrastructure remain in your own environment
  • Your actual data never leaves your infrastructure—only orchestration metadata flows to Dagster+

You get all the benefits of Dagster+ Hybrid deployment by keeping your data internal to your infrastructure, while keeping your Dagster control plane close by.

Help Me Use Dagster+ EU!

If you’re an existing Dagster+ customer that wants to run workloads in the EU or maybe you’ve had to run Dagster OSS due to compliance challenges, get in touch! Our Sales team can help answer questions and chat about your use cases to see if Dagster+ EU would be a good fit.

What's Next

EU region support is part of our broader commitment to making Dagster+ available wherever teams need modern data orchestration. If you have use cases that prevent you from using Dagster+, we’d love to hear about it!

Update: December 2025

Dagster+ EU now supports Serverless deployments in addition to Hybrid! This means you can now take advantage of fully managed compute infrastructure while keeping your control plane and metadata within EU boundaries.

With Dagster+ Serverless in the EU region:

  • Your control plane and metadata stay in EU data centers (eu-north-1)
  • Dagster manages the compute infrastructure for you—no agent deployment required
  • You get the same compliance and data residency benefits with even less operational overhead
  • All your orchestration runs on managed infrastructure within the EU

Whether you choose Hybrid for maximum control over your compute or Serverless for fully managed infrastructure, Dagster+ EU gives you the flexibility to orchestrate your data pipelines while meeting your compliance requirements.

Dignified Python: 10 Rules to Improve your LLM Agents

Modern LLMs generate patterns, not principles. Dignified Python gives agents the intent they lack, ensuring code is explicit, consistent, and engineered with care. Here are ten rules from our Claude prompt.

Evaluating Model Behavior Through Chess

Benchmarks measure outcomes, not behavior. By letting AI models play chess in repeatable tournaments, we can observe how they handle risk, repetition, and long-term objectives, revealing patterns that static evals hide.
