At Dagster Labs, our mission is simple but ambitious: to empower every organization to build a productive, scalable data platform. We’re the brains behind Dagster, the open-source tool developers love, Dagster+, our managed cloud, and Compass—our first AI product, which brings exploratory data analysis into Slack with governed context. From scrappy startups to global enterprises, thousands of teams trust us to power the data behind their analytics, machine learning, and AI breakthroughs.
We believe the AI era runs on reliable, high-quality data. That’s why we make data platforms easier to test, easier to understand, and actually enjoyable to use. Dagster is quickly becoming the backbone of how the world builds intelligent systems, and the best AI companies are built on top of Dagster.
We’re a small, well-funded team with big energy and a track record of shipping software people rave about. We aim high and work as a team, holding ourselves to the highest standards and trusting eachother to deliver. We care about how we work together: no egos, no drama, just a lot of curiosity and a drive to make something meaningful.
If you want to help shape the future of data and AI and have fun doing it, come build with us.
About the role
We’re hiring a Product Manager to drive Enterprise Readiness and help complex organizations—from F500 to foundation model labs—succeed with Dagster+.
This team’s mission is to make Dagster easier to adopt, expand, and operate in complex organizations. You’ll own a cross-cutting roadmap that scales enterprise adoption by strengthening the platform foundations customers depend on, making Dagster+ reliable and easy to operate at scale, and turning recurring deal blockers into durable platform capabilities.
This role sits at the intersection of product, engineering, design, and customer-facing teams. You will spend time with customers and the field every week, translate real needs into crisp product bets, and ship improvements that make Dagster feel “enterprise-ready” without losing our developer-first DNA.
This is a full-time position offering competitive salary, equity, and benefits. We are a distributed team with offices in San Francisco, New York, and Minneapolis. We’re open to hiring fully remote candidates who are currently authorized to work within the United States. We offer flexible remote work options so you can choose the environment that makes you most productive—whether that’s your home or a coworking space. Dagster Labs fosters a collaborative, remote-first culture, ensuring you have all the tools and support needed to thrive, no matter where you are.
Responsibilities:
- Own the Enterprise Readiness roadmap and drive end-to-end execution from discovery → delivery → rollout.
- Collaborate closely with engineering and design to scope work, make tradeoffs, and ship high-quality features.
- Meet with customers regularly and run design partnerships to validate problems, solutions, and rollout plans.
- Partner with Sales, Sales Engineering, Customer Success, and Partnerships to turn deal needs into clear product priorities and roadmap decisions.
- Own outcomes for enterprise adoption themes (e.g., roles and identities, platform ops & observability, key integrations, scaling) and define metrics to measure impact.
- Own the go-to-market for your area (positioning, messaging, enablement, rollout comms), with support from marketing.
What you’ll work on
You’ll lead cross-cutting work that makes Dagster enterprise-ready, such as:
- Operating Dagster+ at scale: multi tenancy experience, platform health, runtime signals, and operational workflows.
- Usage visibility and controls: helping customers understand and manage usage effectively.
- Enterprise integrations: targeted integrations that unblock enterprise-grade adoption (e.g., major cloud/data platforms).
- GTM for enterprise features: clear positioning, enablement, and predictable rollout communication, with support from marketing.
Must-have Qualifications
- 5+ years of product management experience building B2B SaaS products.
- Proven ownership of a major product area from strategy → roadmap → delivery → adoption.
- Ability to translate customer needs into a clear product strategy and prioritization, and communicate tradeoffs clearly.
- Strong technical fluency. You can partner deeply with engineering on APIs, systems tradeoffs, and rollout plans.
- Strong cross-functional leadership. You can align engineering, design, and customer-facing teams and drive decisions in ambiguous areas.
- Experience owning go-to-market for a product area (positioning, messaging, enablement, launch comms), while partnering with marketing for production/distribution.
- Excellent written communication and sound judgment.
Nice-to-have Qualifications
- Experience at a high-growth SaaS startup.
- Experience building products for enterprise customers (e.g., security, admin, reliability, scale, or integrations).
- Background in developer tools or data infrastructure.
- Familiarity with major cloud and data platforms (e.g., Azure, Databricks).
- Prior experience in a technical role (engineering, solutions engineering, or developer success).
